After much consideration people have made their choices and mine was painting what I have always wanted to try. For the first week we were asked to take photos of different kinds of texture materials and surfaces to get us started on thinking about how we might do our first painting. We also had a lot of different artists to look at some of the ones that were of particular interest to me were Tauba Auerbach especially what she did with wrinkled materials
This gave me an idea to try something with paper
This I did rubbing soot onto scrunched up paper
This was done by scrunching and then slashing paper and then rubbing brown paint on to the wrinkles
